U.S. House of Representatives Passes “America COMPETES Act of 2022”
Regarding the U.S. House of Representatives’ passage of the 2022 America COMPETES Act on February 4, DPP Spokesperson Peifen Hsieh expressed her party’s gratitude for U.S. support of Taiwan. The Spokesperson adds that the DPP looks forward to the flourishing of Taiwan-U.S. relations.
Spokesperson Hsieh emphasizes that the U.S. Congress is a long-time supporter of Taiwan. Indeed, many recent advancements in Taiwan-U.S. relations are due to congressional, administrative, and civil society support. The DPP is grateful for U.S. advocacy of Taiwan. Further, Spokesperson Hsieh confirms that the DPP government will continue strengthening Taiwan-U.S. cooperation.
